Enterprise  "VIADA" was founded at the dawn of Latvian independence in 1991. It was established by oil industry specialists, excellent professionals with special education and huge experience of practical work.
 
"VIADA" started with trade in oil products and leased service stations from the state enterprise "Latvijas Nafta". But even the first years of work demonstrated that it was more reasonable to invest in development of the company's own capacities. Therefore in 1993-94 seven service stations were bought at auctions. During the next two years they were completely modernized: obsolete equipment replaced, buildings repaired. Only underground reservoirs of the former stations remained, but even they were reconstructed in correspondence with modern technical requirements.
 
During this period of time the company persistently studied international experience as it had set as its goal working at the highest world standards level. "VIADA"staff gathered information, bit by bit, when working with Finnish, Swedish, Danish, German and Italian specialists and studying their methods of work and peculiarities of the market. All the collected data were analyzed thoroughly and the best ideas were implemented with taking into account the specifics of local conditions.
 
In the middle of the 1990's the company rose to a new level of development. In 1995 "VIADA" signed an agreement with Swedish enterprise Daldeehog on designing and construction of two new service stations in Riga. So the first new "VIADA" service stations were built exactly in 1995.
Subsequently the projects were designed by the best Latvian architects — specialists in the field of industrial design and industrial architecture. Thanks to their efforts the projects bearing "VIADA"'s name blend harmoniously with their surroundings — either urban or rural.
 
Next year another four stations in Riga were put into operation. And in a year five most modern stations were added at once — three in Riga, one in Jekabpils and one in Rezekne. In 2002 "VIADA" chain was reinforced with two stations, which had been bought from a giant with world-known name —"Shell". At present moment on the credit side of the company there are 21 service stations of the highest technical level, with developed modern service, placed at the most important main roads over the whole territory of Latvia. By no means "VIADA" is going to stop at what it has achieved and, despite tough competition, the company is ready to expand its share on Latvian market. At present the company operates as a Ltd. Company and has an authorized capital of 3 mln. lats. For many years "VIADA" have been staying in the list of the biggest Latvian taxpayers. For this period of time the permanent ńircle of clients was formed. And "VIADA" has reasons to believe that business partners and clients trust it and are ready for further cooperation. Their support would be very useful for the company because it has big plans and new achievements ahead.
 
"VIADA" grew to a concern which at present consists of 10 independent companies. "VIADA" carries out general management and defines policy of the concern.
